The Cherry Tree Project took roots through a gallant and visionary effort of a group of Japanese American alumni of the University of California. We are excited about the legacy provided as a result of countless gifts of time, efforts, and donations that ultimately helped plant a grove of Japanese Cherry Trees at the west entrance to UC Berkeley campus in tribute to persons of Japanese ancestry who attended the University of California system.
